This was an ex-Royal Marines Land Rover, I bought from a Range Rover dealer in Yorkshire. He had it in part exchange for a Rangie and wanted to be rid of it quickly, it lowered the tone of his site!
The motor came with free straw in the back, and a tailgate otherwise it was quite nice. I swapped the tailgate for a station wagon rear door cleaned the straw out and we went on holiday in it.
The caravan we rented from the Deaf Children's Society (my daughter is deaf) for a week at Easter in 1987, the first of many weeks spent near Aberystwyth in Wales!!
I took the roof off to fit a roof lining, this was a foam backed material glued to the inside of the roof, much easier to fit with the roof off.
We fancied a colour change and went for this two tone grey. It looked better in real life!
